Lesley-Ann Jones has been a show business and lifestyle journalist in London, New York and Hollywood for more than 20 years. After studying Modern Languages in London and Paris, she spent several years working in the UK record industry, sidestepping into television and radio before landing full-time in Fleet Street. She has written columns, news and features for many nationals, including the Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday, YOU Magazine, the Sun, the News of the World, the Daily Express and Sunday Express. She has interviewed a wide range of celebrities and public figures, including Tony Blair, Frank Sinatra, Raquel Welch, Charlton Heston, Brigitte Bardot, and Princess Margaret, and has published 7 books, including biographies of supermodel Naomi Campbell and late Queen front-man Freddie Mercury. Having spent many years based in New York and Los Angeles, she currently lives in London with her three children.

    World rights to award-winning rock journalist Lesley-Ann Jones's new edition of FREDDIE MERCURY: THE DEFINITIVE BIOGRAPHY were acquired by Hannah Black at Hodder & Stoughton for high five figures at auction. Publication will coincide with the new film about Freddie Mercury starring Sasha Baron-Cohen and scripted by Peter Morgan (Frost/Nixon, The Queen, The Other Boleyn Girl).
