Mulcahy Conway Associates is a dynamic literary agency based in Kensington, London and representing a strong range of authors, including adult and children's fiction writers, historians and other academics, food writers and journalists. We regularly represent autobiographies by figures from public life such as actors, comedians, musicians and many others whose life story is of strong interest to the general reader.
The business has secured major publishing deals for new writers as well as advancing the careers of more established figures. We are always hunting for talented new authors. Although we usually find these via contacts and recommendations, we welcome unsolicited manuscripts. If you wish to submit your work to the agency please follow the guidelines on the submissions page.
Mulcahy Conway Associates is known for the high-quality of its book submissions. We work creatively with our authors on their book proposals, both editing their writing and shaping the structure of their work before submitting to publishers.
We are proud to sponsor two annual creative writing prizes as part of our commitment to discovering exciting writing talent. The Mulcahy Conway Associates Award, in association with The Centre for New Writing at The University of Manchester, is for the best novel in progress by a student on that university’s MA in Creative Writing. Our award for the best piece of unpublished children’s and young adult fiction is offered in conjunction with The Northern Writers' Centre, the partnership between New Writing North, the writing development agency for the North East of England, and The School of English at Newcastle University. This award is open to anyone living or working in the North East of England.
